1 Corinthians 10:6–13
“No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
We must not fall into the traps of idol worship, materialism, and other earthly sins. Rather, we should always seek to glorify God through our thoughts and actions. While we all make mistakes, we must remember that God is infinitely merciful if we are willing to repent over our errors and make appropriate amends. We can pray for forgiveness and remember that we are each a perfect child of God. Our errors can be corrected by the One who never wastes pain, that we might rise where before we have fallen and shine where we have dwelled in darkness.
God only gives us as much as we can handle, and if we turn to God, then we will always be guided to the light. We are made resilient through our faith in God and Jesus Christ.
Prayer:
Lord, let my mind not wander to false idols and early darkness, but rather be filled with the light of your glory. I am empowered by you to overcome all earthly obstacles for your glory. Amen.
