Exodus 15:22–27
“Then Moses ordered Israel to set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water.”
Exodus 15:22
When I read this scripture, three words come to my mind: faith, trust, and commitment. These words have such important meaning in these complex times.
In this passage, the Lord is teaching us that even when we are living through a dark moment where we don’t see an exit to our problems, we have to keep our faith and trust in him. He is strong and unbreakable. Our only certainty is that he is always with us, and he is always blessing us, even when we don’t see it.
We must listen carefully to the voice of God and do what is right in his sight; that is where the third word comes up, “commitment,” commitment to do what the Lord is asking and expecting from us. These complex times that we are living demand a higher commitment to God and to our families, friends, neighbors, and people in general.
So let’s keep our faith and trust in the Lord our God, but at the same time, let’s keep developing a higher commitment to God, as deep as the challenges that we are facing nowadays.
Prayer:
Thank you, God, for your blessings and love. I have faith and trust that you are always taking my hand. Please give me the strength to keep my commitment to you and my brothers and sisters in these strange times.
